Cream Sauce with Ham and Peas over Pasta
Sauté onion until soft, 3-5 minutes, add ham, add garlic and red pepper if using and cook for about 30 seconds. Add wine and simmer until almost evaporated, 1-2 minutes. Add broth and cream; simmer until sauce reaches consistency of light cream, 6-9 minutes, add peas and cook for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper. Pour over your favorite cooked pasta.
