If you've ever wanted to try your hand on a Yoder Power Hammer, (or a Pullmax, air planishing hammers, wheeling machine, kick shrinkers and all types of hand tools) this is your chance! Since 1989, about once a month, Fay Butler puts on a seminar in his shop. The seminar is meant for either the professional or the serious amateur looking to hone up on skills and learn from the experienced. Limited to 3 participants at one time, it is spread out over three days, starting Monday morning and lasting until Wednesday night. The day starts at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 10:00-11:00 p.m., with breaks for snacks, lunch and supper. The course is meant to help you understand the materials, machines and the processes used in the metal shaping field. The course is project based. It is preferred that everyone who attends brings in a project they are working on. It should be something that you or a customer would actually use. During the seminar you have 21+ hours of hands-on time, using whatever tools or equipment are appropriate. No past experience is required, and while you don’t have to be a professional in order to take the seminar, you do need to think professionally in the way you want to learn. NOTE: To confirm your place in a seminar, a non-refundable deposit is required. Contact us for available dates. First come, first served. |
