Fay's Best Metal Award - Autorama 2022

2022 Autorama “Best Metal” award winner was Scott Salwa, 24 years old, from Dearborn, MI. He is a mechanic at a Ford garage during the day and works on old cars in the evening. This 1930 two-door coupe Scott purchased from Pat Hayes from Canton, MI who had the car for 40 years. Scott chopped the top 5 3/4 inches and TIG welded it together trying to retain the old paint. He put a drop front axle with 16 inch 1940 Ford wheels. The rest of the vehicle is stock. He did the work in a one car garage at his home. There were other vehicles at the show he had performed metal work on, for family and friends.
