This book since its introduction has been widely accepted as the “bible” for wood. It covers all aspects of wood from a scientific viewpoint. Bruce Hoadley is a professor at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. It is well organized and easy to read. Anyone working with wood needs this book in his or her library as a reference. It is reasonably priced new and since its wide acceptance used copies are easily purchased at reduced cost. I cannot say much more except this book will change the way you look at wood.
